Had a good time at the show last night out here in Philly. Neotropic
started off and was pretty amazing if you are into that sort of
thing...Then jake from Herbalizer came on and played some ok stuff but
didn't really beatmatch or do anything all that (found out later that he
is not the half that has the table skills)...I also wasn't all that
impressed with what chocolate weasle was spinning. I mean... that's nice
and all that you are giving me an idea of where you get your influence
from but uhhh... i have most of those records and i came to see
chocolate weasle shit k'now? but it was cool i guess. Then Ollie Teeba
turned shit out! He was chopping shit up (i wasn't aware of what good
skills he had), chicks were dancing, there were big skate video's going
on.. It was truly great. Then Vadim took things down a notch or two for
a few songs and to my surprise kept all of the crowd. Then he went back
and forth between hip hop and soulful funkjazz. Which was a little
awkward and it kept busting my groove but i liked the fact that he was
trying it. Anyway Vadim was better here than any of the other shows i've
seen him spin. Absolutely the best thing i've been to in Philly in a
while...

Was going up to catch the next one tomorrow in new york (Dj Cam and the
Rienforced Crew!!!), but i think i'm too much of a wuss and catchin'
some much needed shuteye tonight... shit... [ -(

peace,
argo
