Hi,

I went to a hip hop festival yesterday night where various artists did =
their thing.=20
Most impressive was the performance of Mos' Def, Talib Kweli and Dj =
Hi-Tec. The crowd went completely crazy during their show. Mos'Def's =
vocal qualities are very good. He can sing very well actually and does =
not only rap. They started at 3.00 in the morning and ended with =
'Bodyrock' at 4.00 o'clock. Before them Company Flow threw down a wicked =
set but it was just too deep to follow. Their work on albums is already =
deep but the stuff they do on stage is just.... too deep.=20

There was a spoken word session by Melissa of the Urban Poets Society =
which I enjoyed very much. Do they have any tracks on vinyl? Too bad =
that most of the present B-boys were talking throughout her performance. =

There were a bunch of wicked breakers and grafiiti-art (also some stuff =
by Futura) was shown on video-screens with scenes of 'Wildstyle'. The =
festival was called 'Doubletalk' as it did not only feature rapping in =
English but in Dutch as well. I was impressed by MC Brainpower and by =
the crew from Belgium ( I didn't catch their name) which was =
accompanied by Dj Grazzhoppa.=20

I got back at six this morning and had to do a show with my own band at =
the sunday fair at 13.00 hours in Rotterdam I'm waisted but =
satisfied...

A friend brought me the Teardrop 12" by Massive Attack today. the Mad =
Proffesor remix is wicked! and there is a track on it called Euro zero =
zero which is the same as the Euroninetysix mix of Eurochild which was =
formerly only available on an obscure soccer cd. A beautiful track... =20

cheers,
Jeroen
