Good question. I did a search on Hardcastle, and it sounds like he's
slipped away into the
world of Yuppie Jazz (tm). _Jazz Times_ dissed him for abandoning his
creativity.

Also a >master of the 808.

I don't know about that really; The 808 on "Rain Forest" was the popular
Kraftwerk/Planet Rock/Electro beat everyone was using in the 80s, and I
might be wrong on this, but wasn't it Arthur Baker who programmed the 808
for the song "19"?
