"GORDON MATTA-CLARK: Reorganizing Structure
By Drawing Through It."
Drawings and more by the late Matta-Clark,
who is widely known for slicing and extracting
sections of buildings.

vertical du jour."
An installation consisting of a large glass table,
bottles of wine and honey, and neon tubing.

"DEEP STORAGE"
A group show of works by German and American artists
on the theme of storage. Highlights include
faux art-packing crates by Richard Artschwager and
a large closet by Jason Rhoades.

"SIGMAR POLKE: Music of Unclarified Origin 1996"
Forty gouaches that amount to a self-portrait
of this important German artist. This is the
first time the work has been shown in NY.

"JOHN MILLER"
New paintings and sculptures by this artist,
who's known for covering his objects with a
fecal-brown crust (Ewww...).

"JEAN-MICHEL OTHONIEL: Le Grande Collier, 1997"
A large-scale necklace is installed in
P.S. 1's split-level gallery.
(They took out this beautiful Japanese
fish pond in the basement, to put this
monstrosity in.)

"WARM UP"
A performance series that features various DJs
spinning their stuff from 4 to 9 pm on Saturdays.
"GELATIN: Percutaneous Delights."
An environment, complete with a giant inflatable
pool, sprinklers, and a silver sunbathing platform,
is provided by this Vienna-based artist group
for the "Warm Up" series.
Through August 29th.
(They also have this tower of kitchen cabinets
with speakers at the top, that you can climb up,
provided that you sign a disclaimer at the
front desk.)
