Artsy fartsy as promised.
Eurotrashy as all hell.
I got there early
(Can you believe I walked from West 34th?)
before 7 pm, so admission was free.
After 7 pm, beer was F R E E
so I was happily ensconced at the bar
with bottles of Bass Ale in each fist.
Oh, so the art.
Ummm...I saw film shorts by William Wegman,
the Weimaraner man.
It was funny shit.
In the first piece, a man threw up a trail of vomit.
Behind him, a dog followed,
slurping up the mess.
The camera was at floor level
and captured it perfectly.
I was sitting close to a woman
with this infectious high-pitched giggle,
so I tittered through the whole movie.
I also caught the beginning of
"Niagara Niagara" (1997).
Directed by Bob Gosse,
the cast includes Robin Tunney, Henry Thomas,
Michael Parks, and Stephen Lang.
It's a story about a girl with Tourette's
and her slacker boy who go on a search
for a perfect Black Barbie bust.
Good stuff is coming up there:

Exit Art/The First World
548 Broadway, 2nd floor
NY NY 10012
phn: 212-966-7745
It's close to the Broadway-Lafayette F train,
and 6 train at Spring Street.
I was given a very strange flyer
at the door by this skanky Eurotrashy type.
I don't know whether to be offended or flattered:
