Mixmaster Morris / Irresistible Force
Mixmaster Morris is an underground legend who hardly needs introduction.Over the years he has established himself as one of the hardest working DJ¹s by relentlessly touring around the world ever since the days of the early UK chill out scene. In the UK he runs his own club night and has also been resident DJ at the Glastonbury Festival for 5 years running. As a journalist and DJ he has been responsible for giving some of the first press to some of todays more established electronic acts. Mixmaster Morris will be touring in support of his new release for Ninja Tune entitled It¹s Tomorrow Already¹. Past releases include ; Irresistible Force Global Chillage¹ (Astralwerks/Rising High), Irresistible Force Flying High¹ (Rising High), Various Mix CD Made the Morning After¹ (Positiva/Virgin), Dreamfish 1 &2¹ (Fax Records), and a DJ mix with Alex Patterson (Orb) for Mixmag UK.
Amon Tobin
The Brazilianaire¹s return to North America after a succesful stint in 97 as part of a Ninja tour, and a small press trip earlier this year. Amon¹s new record Permutation¹ has been receiving critical acclaim as one of the most innovative new drum & bass records. A mixture of Batucada breakbeats combined with Buddy Rich inspired Be-Bop. Past releases include; Amon Tobin Bricolage¹ (Ninja Tune), Cujo Adventures in Foam¹ (Ninebar), plus numerous singles.
Jonah Sharp / Spacetime Continuum
Like Mixmaster Morris, Jonah Sharp should need no introduction to anyone familiar with the early chill out scene. 4 years ago Jonah released the now classic Flurescence¹ on his own San Francisco based label Reflective¹. Since then he has moved on from his ambient roots to explore a much more dancefloor style of experimentation influenced by Detroit Techno, Drum & Bass, and Jazz. Past releases include; Spacetime Continuum Emit Ecaps¹ (Reflective/Astralwerks), Spacetime Continuum Remit Recaps¹ remix record (Reflective/Astralwerks), Spacetime Continuum Sea Biscuit¹ (Astralwerks / Fax), Spacetime Continuum/Terrence McKenna Alien Dreamtime (Astralwerks), plus various collaborations with Pete Namlook, Bill Laswell, Black Dog, and more. He will be releasing a new record on Astalwerks early next year entitled Double Fine Zone¹.
