Picked it up at Grammaphone in Chicago, dark brown sleve with stylized TS
cutout, Cleveland Watkiss on vocals, Takesh Churasia, and Madras
Philharmonic Arkestra. Good, beautiful lush more instrumental mix,
reminicent of the film music track on Anokha (track 6 Mumbai Theme Tune -
A. R. Rahman.) 4 Hero's Dollis Hill Futebol Mix, more bass, and weird
sampled 'drum' beats, string stab like from 'Loveless', good mix. Kid
Loko's Once Upon a Time in the East Mix, hip-hop beat, left flute solo,
backup vocals, almost a dub feel.
Also got the 'Angel' 12" with the cool blur, I really liked the grinding
guitars, but I have to say their approach it really cool. Also got Alpha
12" and double LP, just like mentioned before, more dark trip-hop from
bristol(?).
Found Amalgamation of Soundz Same Difference EP 12" with 'Tears for Yazd',
great film score d'n'b. Also got blue break beats volume 4 on double LP
set, "Three is the magic number...", and a killer Herbie Handcock 'Bring
Down the Birds' from 'Blow Up', even Ike & Tina Turner. Lots of Gene
Harris, and for the first time no Lou Donaldson. Also, getting lots of the
12" reprints: Tribe, Eric B. & Rakim, The Roots, etc. Even found beat up
copies of Miles Davis 'Birth of the Cool', and Getz/Gilberto.
