a brief history of electric jazz

Hi folks,

I found this article on the Jazz Society of Oregon's site. It gives a
history of the development of "electric" (versus acoustic) jazz and the
influence of technology. I'm not a historian so I'm not sure how thorough
it is, but I found it interesting. Check it out at
