Well, personally I'm pretty excited about the the mp3 hardware. I'd be
more excited if I knew that the players would be upgradable to the newer
formats. I understand that there are "mp4" type formats out there that
download faster and sound better... and the tech is getting better all
the
time. Does anyone know if the new mp3 hardware is upgradable?
I heard that mp4 formats don't download faster or sound better, they are
just the music industry's answer to mp3. They are encoded such that CDs
can't be pirated. Why would anyone want to buy an mp4 then? i guess if
the new music you wanted was only released in the mp4 format... I'm
pretty new to all this so any dirt/info/corrections anyone has would be
appreciated.
