Yvonne wrote the lyrics, Stevie did the music. It is on,
arguably, the greatest album Stevie's ever done - Talking Book. He did
it first as far as I know.
As for the ending - I don't have the willy foggiest, as I don't
own that particular cover. The ending of the original just fades with
the backing vocals singing 'You'll have it good girl' and Stevie
echoing and ad-libbing those sentiments.
If you haven't got it - go get it. NOW!!!
