Hey Dino,

if you really like to shake your neigbours, I would suggest to take a
look at the Infinity Kappa Series. Just make sure your amp has got
enough power to feed the babies.

Hey all,
O.K., now I know this letter is a stretch, but bear with me.
What I want is some recommendations for speakers and an amp. Why? I sick
of playing all my dope tunes through a pair of bloody Pye speakers with a
tape player from the late 70's serving as my amp (it has a couple of line
in and line out sockets...)
Now, just so everyone knows the sort of set-up we're dealing with I've got
two turn-tables, a tape player and a CD player all running into a MTX
Battle Board II mixer. As I said, I now want to supplement this with some
decent
speakers and amp. I'm sick of playing all this great tracks and the bass
not hitting me the way it should, etc. Plus I'm certain that even when I
have it turned up full blast all my neighbours can still hear themselves
think, which is simply unacceptable.
So, let me know all. And just so we're clear, price is no object
(although, if possible, give me a couple of options!) I don't want to muck
about. Oh, and if anyone knows of speakers that have some sort of
fail-safe so that they don't blow, let me know about those too (I've blown
about three sets of speakers in the last 18 months...)
Finally, due to the non a-jazz content of this letter in respect to all my
fellow listees can I please ask anyone responding to this to send your mail
to me personally. This way we keep everyone happy and keep the list
traffic down.
Cheers!
Dino!
