Here's a breakdown of artists mentioned on this list who've gotten Grammy
nominations this year:

Erykah Badu: Best New Artist
Best Female R&B Performance, "On and On"

Jamiroquai: Best Pop Performance by Duo or Group, "Virtual Insanity"
Best Pop Album, "Travelling Without Moving"

Maxwell: Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, "Whenever, Wherever, Whatever"

Daft Punk: Best Dance Record, "Da Funk"

Chemical Brothers: Best Rock Instrumental, "Block Rockin Beats"
Best Alternative Music Performance, "Dig Your Own Hole"

Bjork: Best Alternative Music Performance, "Homogenic"

The Prodigy: Best Alternative Music Performance, "Fat of the Land"

As for what Juano was talking about, it was for the new "Remixer of the
Year" category.
The nominees were: Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Mousse T, Todd Terry
and Armand Van Helden. (They should've just called it the "HOUSE Remixer of
the Year" category :) )

It would have been neat to see (given the limited categories the NARAS
provides)
Talvin Singh's "Anokha" get a 'world music' nomination, but he didn't get it.
