yet another subgenre for drum n bass/dj spooky

hello listees...

A month or two back I posted a message about an issue of THE WIRE
magazine that urged people to start using the term "neurofunk" when
discussing artists such as photek or source direct. This was just about
the funniest thing I'd ever heard (not to mention a little upsetting). A
side note to that is that the same magazine began using the term in its
reviews.
well anyway, I work in this record store, and this guy came in the other
day and asked me if the I had any "slambient". After laughing
uncontrollably for a few minutes, I asked him what that was supposed to
be. He said it was ambient drum n bass. All I could think of that came
close to a description like that was DJ spooky, et al. but that's ambient
with hip hop beats thrown in, not drumnbass beats (though he has done
that a couple times).
THe concept sounds mildly interesting to me, but the term is ridiculous.
Anyone know of an artist doing something like that?
and by the way has anyone heard the new dj spooky album? does anyone
care? I have songs of a dead dreamer, and its all right, but I'm somehow
not at all excited to hear him do it again. does he offer anything new here?
