My favourite stuff with strings recently(ish) has been the D*Note
self-titled album and the Outside album called The Rough and the Smooth,
both on Dorado. They both feature Strings Without Frontiers, and are a
great advertisement for using real strings instead of synth strings (if you
can afford em...) ... beautifully played, and very nicely arranged.
