After spending a tasty New Year at the G Lounge in Ocean Beach listening to
DJ Greyboy (& Ratty) spinning some kick ass 70s jams, I wanted to find out
if anyone on this list has checked out the Stax/Volt box set? A review
please!!
I'm also getting more into Afro-Cuban Jazz but only have releases by Mario
Bauza, Snowboy, and a CuBop comp. I need some solid knowledge on this genre
of music. (Still haven't been able to track down the "Many Faces of
Snowboy" comp - what is up with this CD?!?!?)
Hope every one had a blunted New Year's Eve/Day!
