NOTES & COMMENTS ---------------- -Due to circumstances beyond my control, my show was pre-empted during the last two (2) weeks of December. -The show continued until 20 December (where it was manhandled by another DJ who shall remain nameless), and I will not publish the playlist due to some selections lacking credibility and in violating our station's mission (and my own). In other words, I refuse to acknowledge my show playing the Sneaker Pimps now that they've become pop; you may like them, but they're everything WUOG avoids.
-Fortunately, I was able to broadcast the OC this past Saturday (3 Jan). -Saturday's show was basically a "Best of 1997" episode. So, if I played it, I LOVED it--and if I didn't get around to it, I ran out of time. My apologies.
-Next week's OC will be the OC's first birthday! Woo-hoo!
UPCOMING SHOWS: -Rakim in Atlanta on 15 January. -Afrika Bambaata & The Soul Sonic Force @ the House of Blues (Atlanta) on 16 January. -Afrika Bambaata & The Soul Sonic Force w/ DJs Babu and Shortkut, Third World Citizens, etc. @ the 40 Watt (Athens) on 22 January. -Phungus present J. Majik (Metalheadz) @ the International Ballroom (Atlanta) on 30 January.
