Those funky jams records are sweet! Another compilation i just picked up
that's real good is a series on impulse called "Rare Funk" (real
distinctive huh) which there are a # of volumes. On From the Basement
records, "Another sack of Soul" is a double LP which is a must have and
also everything in that "Sack of Jazz" series is fat. There is a series
called Dealers Choice which is good as well (i liked 2 better that the
newer one). "Loose and Juicy" on Vanguard is the shit. Have they put out
other compilations in this vein?

If anyone knows of other labels (besides Ubiquity) like hubbub and from
the basement or can further elaborate on this thread about comps like
this it would be much appreciated.

thanks in advance,
argo
