Apparently they have been getting along well with the college radio scene..
Recently Clock Wise (the label) was profiled in CMJ and their compilation
(Crossed Wires) was reviewed in CMJ as well as a slew of other local
(atlanta and athens) publications. Delarosa's Sleep Method Suite album even
made it on Mixmaster Morris' top ten. We've been playing the double vinyl
compilation, as well as all the other Clock Wise releases, since around
February (that right Harry?) on *THE ORGANIC COMPOUND* (WUOG 90.5fm -
Harry/Sucka MC's show, but I'm taking over in the fall). It's a really
smooth compilation flowing through all kinds of genres and subgenres, much
like the label.

Recently they came up to our station for a 6 hour extravaganza. 3 LIVE PAs
(Love Phoetus, Ness, Fascia), and 2 DJs (J. Stroke & Marty B - Nemo couldn't
make it). It was *really* cool. Interested in a copies of the DATs of the
performances? Email me and I'll see if the Clock Wise posse would mind.
If you want to see the flyers I made for the event, go here..

My personal fav's on the compilation:
The Elementals (who have since split up and reformed in a different grouping
I believe.. don't remember the new name)
J. Stroke (check out his Slow-Fi Hi Jinx record.. their first release and
very different from his track on Crossed Wires)
Alphanumeric (aka Bobble.. really amazing atlanta jungle dj and really well
spoken individual)

Of course, my favourite of all of the Clock Wise posse is DELAROSA. The
Sleep Method Suite record is absolutely insane. I won't say more on that
but GET IT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!

Just got a call today: LOVE PHOETUS will be back in Athens on JULY 15 at
Tasty World..

I've heard rumours of a second compilation in the works (not totally
confirmed so don't shoot me). I know a few Athens people have sent in
material already. I'm sure they'd welcome some more.

There will be a new single from Johnny Ether pretty soon. He'll be featured
on a compilation put out by Criminal Records (the store in atlanta). There
will also be an article in the accompanying newsletter about the whole
phenomenon.

Here's the contact information. Ask for Carter.. she's in charge. Tell her
I said hi!!
