It's a very good record, without a doubt, but it's all gonna depend on
whether u like the Blackbyrds or not. Personally, I'm a big fan, so I'd say
pick it up, but not before you've picked up "Street Lady" or "Blackbyrds" by
Donald Byrd, or the Blackbyrds' first record. Many fans will argue that
"Ethiopian Nights" is Donald Byrd's best album of the period, but from a
funk perspective, I'd place it a little below the ones I've mentioned.
"Cornbread...." is right up there as well, if u ask me.
