As someone pointed out, this was the second volume in the series.
The first volume is simply called ACID JAZZ & OTHER ILLICIT GROOVES.
Track listing for that one was:

Ace of Clubs - Ace of Clubs
Push - Traffic
AJA (Acid Jazz Alliance) - Shaft in Action
Galliano & the Jazz Renegades - Six Sharp Fists
Night Trains - And Now We Have Rhythm
Rhythm Blades - Doin' It Naturally
Push - Traffic (Dub)

Compiled by Gilles Peterson and featuring a bit of rapping
between tracks by Jalal of The Last Poets. Released in 1988
on Polydor UK. Keep an eye out for this one.
