Actually, it's Jalal from the last poets with musical backing by Kool
and the Gang and other heavyweights like Eric Gale, Julius Hemphil,
and Bobby Matos. They go under the name "Lightning Rod" and the LP
is called HUSTLER'S CONVENTION - the album is an audio blaxploitation
flick.
On a related topic, I heard or read somewhere about another Lightning Rod
record featuring Jimi Hendrix. Anyone know about this one?
