Actually, Hustler's Convention and the Duriella DuFontaine Single are
toasts.
Duriella DuFontaine is a traditional toast. Hustler's Convention is
actually meant to be performed as a toast, but it does not follow
traditions, as it is a moral tale. Toasts are not morals, they are meant
to be humorous entertainment. Toasts in case you don't know, are
traditional rhymed oral folk poetry, mostly obscene language, with an
emphasis on sex and "The Life" (hustling, pimping, pushing). Rudy Ray
Moore is the most famous performer of Toasts. Hustler's Convention is a
hard to find import, you can find Duriella DuFontaine under Jimi Hendrix
easily.
Also, additional performances of Toasts:
George Clinton - Get Yo Ass in the Water & Swim Like Me (Single)
Iceberg Slim - Reflections
Various - (Rounder Label) Get Your Ass in the Water & Swim Like Me

Thanks for that info, Ashwin!

I looked em up on the all music guide (allmusic.com)
and found out this:

Lighnin' Rod is not the name of the band but just Jalal's alias

The record you're looking for is Doriella Du Fontaine
feat Jimi Hendrix & Lightnin Rod & Buddy Miles

says it's mixed by Material (bill laswell) with 1992 release
does that mean laswell remixed it in 1992 or did the original
mixing way back? dunno. looks good tho
