Hi there,
=20
there will be a nice multicultural festival next sunday in =
Rotterdam. It's now called Dunya on Stage (formerly known as Poetry =
International). Poetry, play, music and food from all over the world =
will be the themes. Check the main stage at 13.40 hours for some =
Brazilian batucada vibes by yours truly. We'll be on the same stage as =
Femi Kuti (yes the son of) and Olodum jr.! Beware, come by public =
transport. There were 15000 visitors last year...
=20
Has anyone heard Femi Kuti live? he was described in the newspaper =
as singer of a band that incorporates jazz, house, hip hop and funk..
=20
=20
Yes FEMI KUTI as you said is FELa Anikulapo Kuti's son. He is =
Nigerian, and plays the same kind of afro-funk that his father played =
(RIP). If you have heard Fela you have a good idea what Femi sounds =
like. Though I dont undersatnd thehiphop and house part. Maybe he has =
some new stuff that i havent heard.=20
