I went to this fabulous event yesterday sponsored by the Art Exchange
and Cultural Alchemy/Soundlab.

It was an art exhibition featuring the emerging artists with sounds
provided by the wonderful geniuses at Soundlab. The space is
incredible. It's a tall highrise at 2 Broadway, overlooking the
Historic Battery Park City, near Bowling Green subway station. It's an
unfinished loft space, with wires and pipes exposed in the ceilings
and walls. The view was incredible.

The space is divided into several niches where different galleries
showcase their stuff. There was also a performance piece by a said
Michael Timpson, with the Stefan Stux Gallery, where three naked ppl
sat on toilets with red kerchiefs covering their heads, reading aloud
sections from the newspaper.

You had to be there.

Well, yesterday was the second to last event in the annual show. But
there is one last thing this Monday, June 8th. (The show itself is,
btw, open today from noon to 7 pm.)

Titled "Wavicle Fashions," director Michael Counts of GAle GAtes will
collaborate with fashion designer Alpana Bawa in a performance series.
There will be a cocktail party and performance with Edwin Torres of
Holy Kid, Betty Mann Takes a Stand, DJ M. Singe, and How2, MC Beans
acapella with Anti Pop Consortium.

It starts at 7 pm on the 17th floor of 2 Broadway.
(It's near the bronze bull of Wall Street.)

I will go, if anyone wishes to join me. I promise you it's worth the 5
buck fee.

You can call Cultural Alchemy infomix at 212.726.1724.
