I have the Meltin' Pot complilation as well. My favorite is "Sexuality"
by Gazzara. If you check on the back of the CD cover there is a website
for IRMA. I can't remember it off hand. If you can, please pass it
along. I'm sure the other listees would like to see their website. In
my opinion, there is some good stuff coming out of Italy right now.

By chance one of the few independend labels with distribution deals
here
in Istanbul, Turkey is IRMA from Italy. Not having access to much of
anything else in the stores I picked up a couple of the CD's that the
IRMAs designate as BREAKBEAT & ACID JAZZ in the labelling system that
appears on all their releases (my two cents in the classification
game,
ie. a label classifying itself).

I picked-up a compilation, Meltin' Pot. v.2. Some of the artists
are;
LTJ Experience, Jestofunk, Montefiori Cocktail, Black Mighty Wax,
Sindacops, Gazzara, Ohm Guru, Clan Greco, Key Tronics Ensemble, DJ
Sensei, Science Force, Skin 4, Max Lee, SLOK.

All of these groups are Italian. The best of the mix seems to
Jestofunk,
minimal funky arrangements with English vocals on top, swingy and
danceable verging on house. Montefiori Cocktail is also worth a
mention
for their updated cocktail tunes.

Anybody else have anything on IRMA Molto Jazz to recommend?
