Hailing from Helsinki, Finland.

Helsinki isn't actually loaded with clubs, but there are some places
that spin good stuff, mainly d'n'b - acid jazz never got to be that big
here yet. There's only a cafe called Soda that plays
acidyjazzymellowydowntempoish beats daily (to my knowledge at least,
haven't been that active on the clubscene). There are venues like
Tavastia, Vanha, Hype, Lepakko where they organize parties and gigs
(drum and bass, hiphop, soul, jazz mainly) . There are also clubs that
move around the city to wherever they just can arrange room to rent
(usually in bigger clubs - one night a week etc.) During summertime
there are various little clubs with certain themes popping up all over
the place, I have a hunch
that there will be a storm of d'n'b clubs this summer, which I wouldn't
mind at all. Lotsa gigs and festivals all over the country during
summer, too and, of course, Pori Jazz (a well-known and respected
jazz-festival that is arranged yearly in the city of Pori, went there 2
years back to witness the Godfather himself and Buckshot LeFonque).
A couple of years back, acid jazz related music was really hard to come
by, but nowadays there are a couple of well-stocked recordstores
(Spinefarm,Kosmonaut Rekords (Juuso might tell you more ;)) where you
can find almost everything essential released in Europe.
My fingers are getting numb from all this writing, if you find oil or
can turn shit to money by just touching it come visit us ! (this isn't
actually the cheapest country in the world I:)

Oh, and the lager's best on the planet
