just to second this - i too was quite impressed at the show, when i was
planning not to be. i had seen the bently's, rythym les digatales and cut
la roc in england and was very much let down at their rape of hip-hop and
lack of song structure.

propellerheads showed a real hip-hop appreciation that came out of their
music.... espescially where one guy kicks a fat beat box and the other
just cuts the hell outta shit. both were more than compentant on the
tables and all their instuments and it was kinda cool to watch them play
musical instruments, changing all the time. the lp just dropped in the US
and i have not heard it - anyone have a review. i'm espescially
interested in the jungle brothers and de la joints.

one funny moment - after their first 2-3 cuts when people were kinda just
standing around nodding their heads one of the dudes said "come on, this
is chicago where house music started and you all all standing there like a
bunch of lemmings" after that the crowd got going... i think it something
to do with the strength of their openig songs personally.

i wonder if they made any money off the show though. tickets were
basically given away at the roni size shoe the night before and were only
5 dollars at the gate. i think it may have been a late add, but still.
