I think that is a good one (Soul Serenade). He was a bit poppy on some
stuff, but always had groovin soulful jazz elements in his stuff. He's
best noted (for me) by his cut "Memphis Soul Stew" -- its got an old geto
boys and third bass bassline sample that is begging to be used again.
this cut will definatly make heads turn. its on the LP "king Size Soul"
1967 Atlantic. Instant Groove is another good LP with a Pete Rock and CL
Smooth horn loop on it.
