Man, getting through today was really hard. When I heard that Frank =
Sinatra passed away this morning, it was like I lost an old friend. =
There's never been an artist who's been able to make me feel a song more =
than Sinatra. More often than not, it was his music that consoled me =
when things weren't going my way, or helped me laugh when I needed it =
most, so I can't begin to express how much this man's music has meant to =
me. If you want to understand where the love for baseball comes from, =
you just need to put on "There Used To Be A Ballpark", and no further =
explanation is needed. Any father expecting his firstborn could relate =
perfectly to the feelings expressed in "Soliloquy", and no one, with the =
possible exception of Billie Holiday, could wrench more emotion out of a =
torch song than Sinatra. I never set out to be a huge Sinatra fan, but =
50 albums later, he still has me begging for more. There may be alot of =
great musicians and singers to put their ideas to wax, but as far as I'm =
concerned, perfection in music began and ended with The Voice. Rest in =
Peace Mr. Sinatra, our thoughts, prayers and admirations will remain =
with you and your family always.
