I've been lurking on this list for a while, now, and I'm
very impressed w/ the high signal-to-noise ratio here.
Anyway, it's about time I post.
This is to those who live in SoCal, and live within
listening distance to KCRW 89.9FM. There's a show on
weekday evenings at 10:00pm called "Chocolate City".
Lately, they've been playing a few songs which have
caught my interest. If anyone here could help me
identify (or better yet locate) these songs, I'd
appreciate it.
first, we have a song sung by 2 French women
I have absolutely no idea what they're singing, but I love
the way they do it. This is the only French song being
played on the show in recent times as far as I recall. If
anyone caught the name of the song or the artists, please
reply.
second, Ursula Rucker && 4Hero?
The song I'm thinking about has Ursula reciting poetry from
the point of view of Mother Earth (and how her children don't
treat her well). There is some drum&bass in the background,
and the combination of that and the poetry makes for a very
enjoyable listening experience (for me at least). If someone
knows the name of the track and the album its on, please
reply.
