dear list: I saw the film" Very Bad Things" this saturday. before i
get to the music let me first say something about this film. Like the
"Waterboy' this is not a critics film , I saw a rave in The
Phildaelphia Enquirer but a major diss in my local paper(the Harrisburg
Patriot) and a c review on eonline's site. I also read yahoo film review
where they had avg joes post reviews. This is more work than I usually,
but given the diparate critical reaction I had to make sure that this
weekends film outing was not going to be a bust.
The upshot is that this is a post modern type of film a la the fareely
brothers only darker. You have to have a certain sensiblity" to get
it". The yahoo posts really helped me see this . I went . I liked it!
Its bloody but its funny ! and its very 90's well heeled white guys get
away with murder . Very Clintonian. The leader is the Clinton era man
personified!

Okay, now the music! the soundtrack had a mi of songs old funk and
covers done by such as Ozomaltli. In fact i had to stay to read the
music credits so i can see what the one song thye played was. It is a
dark latin thing with a panish name. the riff sounded like the spooky
intro to the original version of "Murder was the case" on snoops first
solo lp. I liked the soundtrack. at leats go check it out at a
free play chain
