Hunter; Journalist Harold Goldberg; Gillian McCain,
co-author of "Please Kill Me: The Uncensored Oral History
of Punk;" and Tom Lee, co-author of "Flight."
Poet Lee Ann Brown will screen her film "Cycles of Desire."
Also surprise guests.

KATY LEDERER & TIM GRIFFIN
Katy Lederer is the editor "Explosive Magazine"
and the author of "Faith" (Idiom).
Tim Griffin is the co-editor of a forth-coming collection
of interviews with William S. Burroughs (yay!) and
the senior editor of "Art on Paper."

ROBERT GRENIER & JEROME ROTHENBERG;
A Secret Location on the Lower East Side
Robert Grenier is the author of "OWL/ON/BOUGH"
(Post Apollo Press, 1997) and many other books of poetry.
Jerome Rothenberg is the author of over fifty books of poetry,
and has edited six major assemblages of traditional and
contemporary poetry, including "Poems for the Millennium"
(co-edited with Pierre Joris). Their reading will be followed by
a book party, co-hosted with the New York Public Library,
for "A Secret Location on the Lower East Side: Adventures
in Writing 1960-1980."

GATHERING for the COMMUNITY GARDENS
A night in support for the survival of our city's community
gardens with performances and readings by
John Wright, author of "Outlaw."
Jeff (?) Wright is the Provisional Governor of Chico West
Community Garden.
Tom Savage has published six books of poems including
"Brain Surgery Poems."
Lola Rodriguez is the author of "Notes from a Solitary Rhumba."
Elizabeth Morse is the editor of "Down Under Manhattan Bridge."

MARQUIS de SADE
This multi-artist event, a benefit for the Poetry Project,
features readings from the Marquis de Sade
accompanied by music. Night of de Sade will be produced
by Hal Willner, the producer of Allen Ginsberg's "Holy Soul
Jelly Roll," and the recent "Closed on Account of Rabies:
Poems and Tales of Edgar Allan Poe."
Admission is $15, $12 for students, $10 for members.
All events start around 8 pm,
unless otherwise noted.
