Well, just joined the list (or rather re-joined after a year or so), so
here goes...
Courtney Pine's earlier stuff is also worth getting. Much more straight up
jazz, but his first album still features one of my all time favourites -
his version of Children of the Ghetto.

courtney pine has always been a real jazzer, he just digs the new beat
stuff
too. my first exposure to him was via soul II soul ("courtney blows" from
the 2nd album), and the 1st record i ever bought by him sounded like the
reincarnation of john coltrane--no beats, just jazz...
