damn the year is moving quickly, November is right around the corner.
Are you ready for CMJ madness yet ?
We're happy to be presenting three bills at this years festival.
First up we'll be hosting the official CMJ OPENING NIGHT PARTY a mega
bill
of amazing talent, featuring everything from live electronic tablas, to
Japanese head nodding beats to mad twisted electronics to DJ
trickery and on and on - it's going to be one hell of a party
so please join us.

The following night we'll be hosting two events first up is event # 4
of our special MILES A HEAD collaborative concert series with Levi's.
Almost everyone in New York whose is even mildly interested in
Drum n Bass has probably either experienced, or heard, of the
PLANET V party. We're proud to finally announce it's long overdue
return ( the last event was in July @ Twilo with Roni Size ).
This time round the V Recordings crew will be flying in from London to
perform @ Vinyl, (not Twilo). It's also something of a special night
since
the crew will be celebrating their one year anniversary in New York.
As usual expect upfront fresh fast and furious, sweet and smooth
drum n bass from this ground breaking crew . Besides V maestros Gee
and FROST, Reprazent member KRUST will show NYC that there's a lot more
to him. He'll also be joined by guest vocalist Morgan who sang on the V
released KRUST track "Maintain."
Also note the special addition of left-field mover and shaker
SQUAREPUSHER ( Warp / Nothing ) who'll be spinning in the side room for
2 hours.

If drum n bass isn't quite your cup of tea we've also got another bill
on the same night, that is one of the finest representations of live
electronic music to be presented on one stage. ESTHERO, FAITHLESS and
HOOVERPHONIC are all full live bands with vocalists. All three acts
dispel
the myth that electronic music is just a bunch of people twiddling knobs.
ESTHERO's amazingly young, beautiful, lead singer wows with a range that
encompasses everything from Bjork style freedom to Billie Holliday style
blues. HOOVERPHONIC excel at sensual evocative orchestrations. Whilst
FAITHLESS present an immense live show that recently won them the BEST
LIVE ACT OF 1998 award in MUZIK magazine. All three bands display a
diverse range of styles, and FAITHLESS' move from sublime trippy
urbanisms to pounding trance should prove more than appropiate since UK
superstar Trance DJ's PAUL OAKENFOLD and DAVE RALPH will also be spinning
in their captiavting style.
