Just picked up his latest on Blue Note. Mostly for track 6. Don Byron &
Co. live at the Knitting Factory with Bizmarkie on the MIC. Some racous
fun. But, the rest with Sadiq doing spoken word and Don on the clarinet is
one great composer, it has such a unique flow. Got his old alubm on
Nonsuch "Music for Six Musicians", my favorite track is track one with
"White History Month" which was just voted for in the California
Legislature...pretty wild, after segregation in the schools the subjects
are now segregated by months, too bad. But, that's what's so great about
the list, we've got everybody.</editoral>
Anyway, anyone get to the Knitting Factory/New York Jazz Festival where
aforementioned track was recorded? Are the're anyother tracks in the
vaults--is there a single on vinyl?
