!!!! FIRST OF ALL - IF YOU WANT TO REPLY TO ME, REPLY PRIVATE. I will
probably miss any posts made to mailing lists (I am on about 25 of them!) !!!

Hello people! I (and a number of other people I know) are interested in
modifying our 1200s.

We need help by technically-inclined individuals who can possibly help with
any of the following (see below). The end result will be to create some
kind of "modification FAQ" in order to help people make changes to their
1200s and will be posted on the web.

I know that a lot of Djs and people into "electronic music" (for back of a
better word) are computer geeks and techie types (no offence, this is
actually a good thing!).

So if you could help us solve any of the mysteries below, everyone will
benefit. HOWEVER -- PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS E-MAIL STATING: "Yeah, I
would like the same thing too, let me know if you find out some information."

I'm only a business student so I don't have any extensive knowledge of
electronics, however it seems like these things shouldn't be a problem.

There are several modifications we're interested in doing to our 1200s:

o - Having a toggle switch so to adjust the pitch from +/- 8 to +/- 10 and
+/- 16 (or something like that).

o - Getting a quartz-lock "kill button" to avoid that nasty dead-zone
around 0. (Off, you damn green light!!)

o - Getting this backwards thing done. As far as I know there are two
people who offer this kind of modification (kit). One of them is called
"Backwards Revolution" and is based in the UK, the other is the VINYL Touch
mod. Does anyone know through who they can be purchased? At what costs?
Anyone had installation experience? What is involved, etc.

o - Changing out the LEDs to some other cool color aside from the
"green/red" combination. This seems like probably the easiest installation
to do, which would only require one to find the right size/voltage LEDs and
just solder in new ones.

Thats the basic idea. If you have any more ideas, we can add them to this
list.
