I haven't heard the new LP so this is totally
second-hand. But I read a couple of interviews, one
from a guy at the L.A. Times, in which Meshell said
she's going in a different direction with this one. I
guess the sound is much more meloncoly and dark. Sort
of K.D. Lang-ish and such. I really liked Plantation
Lullabies. The second one was scattered. I'm not
buying this one based on these interviews. It's cool
to explore and experiment. But this doesn't sound like
anything I'd listen to...
