hy y'all, interested into west london stuff
(damn, i hate these cheesy names...), check out
the following tracks. it's already out, or soon to be...
- IG Culture & Dego (4hero) "untitled" (Main Squeeze),
the two big names of London by now going crazy, on the sublabel of the great People Records.
- Mustang "Verona"/Dego "techno boogie" (Archive),
the Volcov & Enrico italina label doing their stuff, and doing it well! as usual, Mustang do his nebulous drumming rolling track, brilliant.
- Restless Soul "?" (People),
who will tell me if Restless Soul is Phil Asher and???
and who? Nathan Haynes, aka Sci-Clone (from Metalheadz, Reinforced...) (big shout to my an alcor),
- Neon Phusion "the future ain't the same as it used to be" (Laws of motion recordings),
the promo cd was huge 6 months ago, and it's coming, at last, with the main title, awesome vocalistic boogie 2000, while the rest of the LP is going everwhere...
- Afronaught "transcend" (Satori),
Seiji the guy under the best drum'n'bass LP of this year, together with Kaidi & Orin Walters, for a new satori production. here's London!
- Ashley Beedle aka Soul Drummer "?" (Afro Art),
not all the productions are great on Afro, but this one is great. the Phil Asher mix is great... don't you think this guy do better work for the others than for himself? ;)
- Cinematic Orchestra "ode to the big sea" (Ninja tune),
but the Fourtet mix is one of the best track of these days. Anybody can help me on a Fourtet discography?
- Spacek "Eve" (Blue),
'nuff said!
- Kirk de Georgio "another revolution" (blue),
what a label... the big mo'wax names are all going on this new island inprint, and As One is still doing the shit.
- Bougie Solitaire "something" (flipside),
the woman found, after many struggles, a real publishing deal with a new home. lot of tracks are good from BS, this one is heavy,
- Boozoo Bajou "under my senses" (stereo deluxe),
argh! who are they? help me, what have they done, beside remixes?
- Likwid Bizkit "Braindrop" (people),
Ig culture still there... next millenium afro... ok, next century... anyway, next year, at last...
- Underwolves "birdsong" (blue),
i don't understand why it's not this track which get a lot of feedback. it's a kickin'one.
- Hefner feat. some poetic vocalist...
i don't know who is the guy, and i'm not even sure it's Hefner... somebody please?
and rumours said there's a 4 hero mix of legendary detroit's Underground Resistance?
that's all for now.
oh, yeah, when these guys at Gap will take real good sounds for their tv ads? hmmmmm.
peace & respect
