And, R&B isn't 4/4?  There are few musical styles that actually try
different time signatures, Dave Brubeck's "Time Out" being a forerunner,
but, some of the Slavic Folk tunes are quite strange (5/8 and such), not to
mention the 3/4 of walze (sp?).  Its the different patterns of beats in
Techno and Jungle/d'n'b that give them their respective character, and they
may work with R&B, but, I do agree that its not strictly R&B, without the
slow grove.
