I saw Chile (sp?) of TLC wearing an Acid Jazz label beanie knit cap, so
actually these R&B groups, or at least TLC, know what Acid Jazz, DnB, etc.
are.
On another note, I've been into new wave and other early 80s music lately,
and this stuff sounds like it was very influential to downtempo music.
Especialy listen to Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" if you haven't in a
while - wow, trip-hop in 1981!
