remember it depends on the quality you encode the mp3s at. i can definitely
tell a big difference from 128kbps to 192kbps. 192 is my standard, but
about that, the quality increase is minimal (in my opinion).
be weary of any mp3 cd player that you cant purchase from a respectable
source (there arent any currently). the new harddrive mp3 player looks
promising, yet expensive. you should be able to purchase those soon for a
mere $800.
