Well, just saw an article at Wired.com I think that mentioned that
releasing music electronically was acutally more expensive than the current
way. Have to get the details to get more.

Haven't done any real comparisons, and, I read enough Audiophile magazines
to be rather skeptical, but, it does work well to make short mixes.
