Steve Gadd is one messed up bro' I put him up there
with Clyde Stubblefield. Check out his beats on Grover
Washington's CTI releases u can feel the cat outdoing
each beat with the next and still staying in the
pocket. I played the drums for 3/4 years or so, took
lessons with Sangoma Everett (jazz drummer
extraordinaire living it large in Paris). So I kinda
know.
I'll post a top ten of the brother's bad-ass beats
pretty soon.
I think Mos Def's song is pretty valid nuff said.
If you guys on the list knew the DJ line up to the
friday's night at the fabric you'lld be making some
rwkus. (4 Hero are celebrating 10 years of Reinforced
records); Grooverider, Fabio, Josh Wink, Gilles,
P\trick Forge, Jazzanova, 4 Hero, Goldie....
I know Jay's going anybody else?
