I have 'Loveland' which features his brother Donald on vocals. 'Journey
into Love' is the big tune for me but there is a chilled vibe
throughout.

One of his greatest albums is Expansions. Slamming.
Another nice one has a title that starts with the word 'Echoes' but I
cant
remember the rest.
Most of the stuff he did with Flying Dutchman label is pretty fresh.

Acid Jazz listers,
At a locally owned CD shop here in Charleston, South Carolina I got
reaquainted with Lonnie Liston Smith's - Waterscolors - Novus 70's
series
dist. by BMG. Well it was great going back in time to the 70's and
listening to such gems as "Starlight and You", the atmospheric Reggae
Acid
Jazz vibe of "Devika" and "Summer Nights". I really enjoyed listening
to
the chorus laced bass work of Al Anderson. "Devika" and its
Reggae-esque
feel really was what the doctor ordered. Smith has a way of creating
floating textures and setting a very pleasant mood. So for now I am
going
to delve more into his catalog. For of those who are familiar with
Smith
point me in the right direction. For those who are unfamiliar with
Smith's
work and if you like you Acid Jazz Spacy and Atmospheric then check out
Lonnie Liston Smith when you get chance. Happy Trails.
Semper Motociclismo,
Pace'
