Richard Dorfmeister, Internationally Acclaimed DJ, Producer, and One
Half of Kruder & Dorfmeister, to Make a Rare American Performance at
Mega-Club TWILO, Friday Night January 14th, 2000

Twilo, the largest and most influential New York City nightclub, is best
known for importing the biggest trance and progressive house/techno DJ's
such as Paul Van Dyk, Sasha & Digweed, and Carl Cox attracting packed
crowd of over 2000 patrons weekly on Friday Nights. In what could be
the most significant event in New York and global nightlife culture,
fans of Kruder & Dorfmeister will have the opportunity to see
internationally acclaimed DJ and producer Richard Dorfmeister for a rare
North American performance. Vienna, Austria's Richard Dorfmeister's
broad, unique, and eclectic dance music sound ranges from but not
limited to dub, trip hop, drum & bass, and house which would provide New
York City the most ambitious dance music experience at New York's
biggest night club.

Richard Dorfmeister's sonic wizardry is scheduled to play New York on
Friday January 14th, 2000 at Twilo: Respect is Burning (530 W. 27th St.
at 10th Avenue). Respect Is Burning has been Twilo's most consistent
night and has attracted more mature audiences in New York.

Best known for his celebrated involvement with partner Peter Kruder as
one half of Kruder & Dorfmeister, Richard Dorfmeister saw the release of
the Kruder & Dorfmeister Sessions, a double CD compilation that featured
remix work for artists such as Roni Size, Depeche Mode, Lamb, William
Orbit, and Bones Thugz & Harmony. The K&D Sessions released through
Studio K7 Records was 1999's biggest buzz release reaching top ten in
national electronic music sales (on strictly independent distribution)
and charting at the #1 position on the CMJ RPM chart for over 15 weeks!
Kruder & Dorfmeister were soon the focus of publicity madness. Rolling
Stone selected the K&D Sessions as one of five "RS Picks" alongside MTV
sensation Eminem and diva Whitney Houston. Vogue Magazine chose Kruder
& Dorfmeister as the only music related selection into their Annual 1999
A-Z Runway Guide as the selection K for Kruder & Dorfmeister praising
the duo for being "responsible for the most-listened-to CD of the
season." Finally in Dec. 1999, Spin Magazine culminated the incredible
year for the Viennese duo by selecting the K&D anthology of remixes as
one of the Top 20 Albums of the Year.

With a whirlwind of fanfare, the Kruder & Dorfmeister North American
Tour in March of 1999 saw over 8 cities in America and Canada with 7
sold out shows (1 not sold out due to a 10" snow storm). The buzz on
the New York City performance of Kruder & Dorfmeister at Irving Plaza
became so fantastic that tickets were sold out within the first week of
availability and nearly four weeks in advance. Prices for tickets
originally priced at fifteen dollars from scalpers outside of Irving
Plaza reached into three figures, as hundreds of maddened fans were
turned away by the droves dismayed by the lost opportunity to see Kruder
& Dorfmeister. Vogue Magazine described the event as a "swooning
symphony of Brazilian beats and hip hop samples" and dance music bible
Mixer Magazine agreed stating "Dorfmeister made magic happen with just
the decks."

February 2000 will see the release of the sophomore album from Tosca
entitled Suzuki- a collaboration between Richard Dorfmeister and
childhood friend Rupert Huber. Themed for listening in a bathrobe at
the finest saunas, Tosca features bass heavy beats with jazz-groovy
tones. This is the follow up to their Tosca, Opera, album which
featured the track hip hop beat and NYC street sampled "Chocolate Elvis"
which was later featured on CD with remixes by Bullitnuts, Baby Mammoth,
Rockers Hi Fi, and Boozoo Bajou.

Richard Dorfmeister's performance is guaranteed to be more music
sophistication then ever provided to New York night life. His
intelligent mix of varied genres of dance music played over the finest
soundsystem in the mecca of night clubs, Twilo, will be a first look at
the growing possibilities that will be offered to New Yorkers in the
future.
