Boozoo Bajou - "Under Mi Sensi", I think this one is. Out on Stereo Deluxe
from Germany, think that's right but I'm at work and don't have me rekkid
crates handy at the moment. The original is best in my opinion, there's a
remix 12" that just came out with a Thievery Co. mix along with somebody
else on the flip. I bought that by accident thinking it was the original
and it's not exactly my steez, if anybody is looking for this one and would
be up for a swap/purchase drop me a mail. Original is very slow, dubbed out
reggae with a slight latin touch, have heard everyone from Rainer Truby to
Mixmaster Morris play this one out and it's a keeper.

AKA Mixmaster Morris, the chilluminati of all sounds ambient. Ex-sound guy
for the Shamen back in the rave heydays, he's released all kinds of stuff
under this moniker but the most readily available are his LP's on Rising
High ("Global Chillage") and Ninja Tune ("It's Tomorrow Already"). The
first is a bit more trippy and horizontal, the second more upbeat (in that
it actually has a beat you can follow!) and quirky with weird vocal samples.
I dig both of these much, but have always been more into Morris' live sets
and trainspotting his charts more than anything. He's turned me on to
everyone from Ian O'Brien to Air to Pole over the years, used to have a
chart in Mixmag that was like my record must-have list for the month! He's
got an interesting home page up at the url below if you wanna know more, has
prolly done more to push intelligent/interesting music of the electronic
persuasion than anyone out there!

And if you're interested, I think he'll be spinning a set live today on
www.dublab.com in the midafternoon, maybe around 3'ish Pacific time US or
so. You can hear the mix and watch via RealAudio, an excellent site to
check anyway if you haven't already, they'll archive the show for later if
you don't catch it today. He played last night in LA, tops. (I'm a bit of
a Morris fan if you can't tell!) Hope that helps...Brock
