Sup. With all this talk about africa-funk circulating the lists lately, I finally decided to go pick up a Fela Kuti record today. "Don't Gag Me"s the one I decided upon, and I'm just blown away by what I'm hearing!!!! In any case, I need more music from Fela now and was browsing thru the various online stores and came across two other cd's that caught my eye. The first one's a live record with Africa 70 and Ginger Baker, and the other's a collaboration with none other than Roy Ayers called "Music Of Many Colors". Now, I know that some of u have been Fela fans for quite awhile, so I was wondering if anyone has these records and would mind posting their thoughts on them. If u had to pick just one, which would u choose? As always, your collective expertise in all things funky is greatly appreciated by me, but not necessarily by my wife or my budget!!
Keep Bouncin'
