Happy New Year!
It has been a very quiet month for new releases from around the world. But fear not, it seems the festive new year has now slowly faded away with suppliers actually working again and record labels releasing tons of dope beats. Atomic will try and get a mother lode of goodies into the shop soon for all listeners and Dj's.
Remember to visit us @ Shiftin'Gears 2 party-CeTop on Saturday,16th January. DJ's Glen Phelan, Oakey and Ben (Luv) and I will hit the decks at 11pm with a mix bag of jazzy house, drumNbass, hip hop and rare grooves! See ya there! Shitin' Gears-for a party crowd who are openminded towards dance music and a super-friendly atmosphere. Then come over on the night and let's rock!
A nice new year surprise is The Absolute magazine January Edition. We finally see the dreaded 3d logo get the shaft and replaced by a refreshing one! Jane Fitzgerald do da music reviews and selects the up and coming labels to watch out for. Ouch! We had these labels in for months now, but nice to know it is supported by Absolute. DJ Paul Wong has got the local club scene like it was his own little remix! Keep up the good work, son. At last they got our record shop name right. 3rd year strong for Absolute!
Remember to go to Medium Rare for that special hoodie, T-shirts or those Vintage jeans. Don't forget to bring $5 to play on their vintage arcade table-tops. Space Invaders, SPACE INVADERS!!!
