Orange County Register's top music critic, as being amongst the Top 10 CD
releases for 1998! In a personal conversation with Kinsler, he says:

JACAR was recently at TRU-RECORDS studio recording their song, "TAXI", for
an upcoming *LIVE* compilation release, due out in early Spring. The idea
behind the compilation CD is that every band on the release records *LIVE*
to DAT, no overdubs, no second chance! WHAT YOU HEAR IS WHAT YOU GET,

* JACAR WINS MUSIC SCENE INTERNATIONAL MAGAZINE'S "1998 BATTLE OF THE BAND" *
The finals for Music Scene International Magazine's "1998 Battle of the
Bands" was held last Sunday, November 22, at The Crest in Torrance, CA.
INCREDIBLE performances were turned in by ALL six of the bands who made it
to the finals!! We thought for sure our friends, 3PENNY, or this other
great band called SOULS ON FIRE were going to walk away with the win. They
both sounded awesome!! However, in the end, it was JACAR! doing the walking
away with *EVERYTHING*!! We owe it all to Deniqua who was simply ON FIRE!!!
If you missed her performance, YOU MISSED *IT* BABY!!! She rocked the
house!! And speaking of rocking, ROCKAMOTO WAS IN THE HOUSE!!!!! (photos of
