I always thought that Belo Horizonti was a great track and if I remeber
correctly it ecame very succesful in Europe (or france at least). I wonder
whether they borrowed this horn line from somewher else.
On top of that, there were endless covers/adaptations of this tune by tacky
cover bands (even a Cantonese version in hong kong).
And the best track on the Atlantic Jaxx compilation _Samba magic_ went to
#5 or so in the UK. This tune is just perfect - even makes my grandmother
ant to dance!

Subject: World Cup Jaxx
My ears may have deceived me, but after the
US Women's team won the World Cup Finals,
during the "celebration", wasn't the Rose Bowl
DJ ever-so-tastefully playing "Belo Horizonti"
by The Heartists, on the Atlantic Jaxx label?
I'd recognize that horn line anywhere..
Someone out there in Pasadena is quite cool,
I doubt there have ever been 90,000 people in
one place listening to Atlantic Jaxx stuff.
